Stop Poison For Peace
In Barasano Eduria
a language of the Colombian Amazon
“jũnisinitʉjare” means peace
litterally stop harm
“Tʉjare” means to stop doing
as in “yitʉjare” to cease talking
“Jũnise” to hurt or it hurts me
hold a grudge
to be hot, spicy like red peppers
harmful agent, allergens, poison
so “Jũnisinitʉjare” also means
to stop doing poison
or hot and spicy
leading to peace
“Jũnisiniĩare”
to look angry
“Jũnisinicodere”
is to hold a grudge
Whereas “ĩajũnisinire”
is to be angry
at someone when seeing
to see and be jealous
and “ĩare” is to see
to look and to observe
“Be” (final negative)
as in “waábeaja”
I am not going
“Ajire” is to hear or to listen
as in “Wʉʉrica ti bʉsʉsere ajibeaja”
I don’t hear the noise of the airplane.
“Jũnisinibeaja” also means peace
