What do you dream about?

On a Deep Space Nine Star Trek episode Worf, the Klingon is asked about his dreams. He looked mysterious and says, “It is better for you not to know.”

What do your dreams motivate you to do?

Some dreams are frightening. Some dreams are powerful and insightful. Some dreams motivate a nation to greatness.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. “

— Eleanor Roosevelt.

Do you remember your dreams?

Your dreams may be influenced by what you eat. As an Integrative Medicine practitioner I sometimes recommend that my clients with Parkinson’s disease, macular degeneration or multiple sclerosis take B vitamins. I say, “Increasing the dose every day until you remember your dreams and then back off one tablet.” Eating kale high in vitamin B and iron can also influence your ability to remember your dreams.

“Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.”

— Edgar Allan Poe.

What do you see in your dreams?

The light you take in during the day influences your brain clarity by day and the depth of your sleep at night. How much sunlight are you getting.

The health of your organs may also affect your sleep and your ability to process information and gain clarity as you sleep and dream. In Traditional Chinese Medicine the energy flow is highest through the Gallbladder meridian between 11 pm and 1 am. The color associated with the Gallbladder meridian is green and the emotion is anger. How you process anger and how much green your surround yourself with during the day influences how you sleep between 11 pm and 1 am.

“Reality is wrong. Dreams are for real.”

— Tupac Shakur.

Are you living, eating, breathing, loving in a way that lets you dream and achieve your dreams day and night?

What do you give yourself permission to dream and achieve?

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”

— Harriet Tubman.
