Pressing Light Out of Olives

Let your light shine
If you are trying to bring more light into your life
Physically spending more time in the sunlight
Metaphorically lifting the weight
Consider what you have to do
Like pressing olives

Remember

On Shabbat Zahor

Remember the evil
Of attacking the vulnerable
Strengthen the weak
Support the vulnerable

Dress for Respect

Come forward
If you put consideration into what you are wearing today to temple
What kind of clothing shows respect
To God to your fellow travelers on the way
What kind of clothing shows gratitude for all we are
What kind of clothing identifies us as good decent people concerned with the well-being the the weak and vulnerable
What kind of clothing helps us remember who we are.
