Vayechi / וַיְחִי (And He Lived) Genesis 47:28–50:26 Torah Study and Poetry (12)

The Beginning in the End

The end of a year, a crisis, death, and destruction
brings a new year like a river flowing
I can’t stay exactly where I am

A Precipice

On the edge
of a precipice
a transition
leaving the end behind
going on to a new beginning
the divide between creation and exodus
come forward if you feel yourself
and need a little help taking the leap
into what is a new beginning
in your life
―Genesis 47:28–50:26

Who are your leaders
the aliyot is for you
if you are a leader
or have been yearning for leadership
a blessing of strength
joy and love
―Genesis 47:28–50:26
